about

stacks of books & unfinished checklists. forgetting to take time for yourself. filling days with too many drugs and not enough sleep. being between the top of a waterfall and the surface of a pool. ice cold rain that lasts for days. rediscovering love for an old hobby. sung tongs and two hits of LSD. the warm embrace of loved ones. long drives and the kindness of strangers. drinking alone in an unfamiliar place.
sometimes i'm afraid to die, but other times i'm not.

Track Name: high
going up & coming down
"i'll come around, i'll come around"
- just some words I don't mean when I say
hours, days, and weeks they pass
not coming back, they're not coming back
i'll try to take care of it today
i feel the need
come back again

lock the door & screen your calls
i think we have all the things we need
they can try to find us but they won't
we'll be free, my oldest friend
when our bodies decay in the end
Track Name: easy way (epigraph)
i take what i can get
whatever comes easiest
i wouldn't count on me
unless it's to take the easy way out
Track Name: sinews
you say you're afraid to speak what's on yr mind
i've half my own to say it's probably better off that way
time keeps flying past and my head's not in the game
if everything's supposed to change, then tell me: why do I feel the same?
i'll keep my head down & carry all this weight
it's a heavy burden just to stay sane
a field guide would be useful, someone to show me the ropes
thanks to all my friends for helping bring to life my hopes
i'll keep my head down & carry all this weight
it's a heavy burden just to stay sane
it's easier to bear it when your loved ones have your back
i'd do anything to keep this love intact
